  1. How do I get to Ayada Maldives from Male?

    Guests arriving at (Velana MLE) Male International airport will be greeted by one of our airport representatives and escorted to KDM Domestic Airport. You will then be met by another of our representatives, who will take care of your luggage and escort you to the Ayada speed boat.

    The boat will bring you to Ayada Maldives resort, where we will be waiting to take good care of you.

    We kindly request that guests provide us with their flight and travel details a minimum of seven days prior to arrival; to ensure seat reservations can be made for your domestic flight.

    * Please be advised that In the case of last-minute requests, seats will be subject to availability of the domestic flight schedule.

  2. How far is Ayada from Male?

    Ayada Maldives is situated in the relatively unexplored Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll in the south of the country – just a few kilometres above the equator. Paradise is only a short domestic plane ride and an exhilarating speed boat trip from Male.

    Guests traveling during the day will be able to marvel at the beauty of the Maldives as they fly over numerous atolls surrounded by turquoise sea below. If you’re lucky you might also see dolphins as you speed across the water.

    Our secluded location ensures a truly unique experience of paradise, away from flight paths and busy shipping lanes. There are no other inhabitable islands close by to disturb your view or the tranquility of our island.

  3. Are transfers included?

    Transfers are not included in the room rates. Please contact our Guest Experience Advisor who will happily provide you with a quotation including all transfers. It would be our pleasure to assist in booking your arrival and departure transfers.

  4. Will I be met at the airport?

    Yes. Please be assured we will look after you from the moment you land in Male.

    Our airport representatives will track your flight and be ready to meet you upon arrival. They will then escort you to the domestic airport lounge where you will find showers & refreshments

    Our representative will also take care of your domestic flight arrangements. So all you need to do is relax and enjoy the experience of getting to our beautiful island.

  5. Do I need a visa?

    No pre-arrival visa is required to enter Maldives, however a thirty day free tourist visa is issued upon arrival for all Nationalities. Please refer to the official Maldives immigration website for further visa information.

  6. Is breakfast included?

    Yes. Every guest can enjoy breakfast at Magu, our main restaurant, which showcases a generous international breakfast buffet.

    Set on the beach, this elegant restaurant has a peaceful central reflecting pool and is surrounded by lush tropical greenery. Diners have the options of sitting outside under the palm trees and wonderful Maldivian sky, or in an air-conditioned pavilion.

  7. Are half board and full board packages available?

    Half board*

    Yes. In addition to breakfast, guests who select a Half Board package can also enjoy their evening meal at Magu.

    With daily changing themes of cuisine, ranging from Maldivian to Far Eastern, Mexican to Mediterranean, and a team of chefs ready to conjure up a choice of dishes a la minute in the central show kitchen, diners can savour an abundance of variety and flavour every night.

    In addition to breakfast and dinner at our main buffet restaurant Magu , our Full Board package also includes lunch; that can be taken at either of our restaurants, Ocean Breeze or Zero Degree.

    Ocean breeze, a sophisticated open-air restaurant standing over the shimmering lagoon, offers guests a tempting menu of modern European dishes at one of the most romantic settings on the island.

    Zero Degree restaurant and bar is where you’ll find poolside dining at its finest, serving a simple yet wide menu of international dishes that addresses all cravings from crisp fresh salads to European, Asian and middle-eastern dishes.

    * Guests who would prefer to enjoy their evening dinner at Kai are entitled to a 50% discount.

  8. Are All-Inclusive packages available?

  9. What is the weather like?

    We are very blessed here at Ayada; Magudhuva Island is situated only 30km from the equator which means we benefit from some of the best weather in the Maldives. Year round temperatures are generally between 28C and 31C, day and night. The days are warm and humid, with our island location offering a cooling ocean breeze.

    Even in rainy season, rainfall is not to be expected every day; and when it does fall this usually only lasts for a couple of hours, tending to occur in the evening.

  10. Do I need to make restaurant reservations in advance?

    Guests are of course welcome to make advanced reservations at any of our eight restaurants or for In Villa Dining experiences prior to arrival. However, your personal butler will happily arrange this upon arrival, or at any point during your stay.

  11. Do I need to book excursions or activities in advance?

    Ayada offers an extensive list of leisure activities and excursions which we encourage guests to select in advance of their stay; allowing us to arrange the perfect experience for you. However, your personal butler will happily arrange upon arrival, or at any point during your stay.

  12. Does Ayada offer surfing?

    Yes. Ayada is located only a short boat ride from some of the best surf breaks in the country. We provide high quality guiding to six different surf points, taking into consideration the weather, sea conditions and the forecast in the region. Whether you prefer a left, a right, or are thirsting for tubes, Ayada’s local spots offer up perfect waves for the ride of your life.

  13. What sports facilities are there at Ayada?

    Guest can enjoy a whole host of sports and wellness facilities during their stay. Our Recreation Centre offers a fully equipped state of the art gym fitness center and yoga/pilates studio, manned by highly qualified trainers; offering private training sessions and daily group classes.

    In addition, there is a games hall, football pitch, tennis court, badminton, volleyball court, infinity swimming pool and a number of jogging tracks on the island. For guests who enjoy cycling, bicycles are also available for hire.

  14. Are there medical facilities at Ayada?

    Yes. For the health and wellbeing of all on our island, Ayada has a resident doctor and nurse on call 24-hours a day and available for walk-in visits at the clinic situated at the Recreation Center.

  15. What is the child water safety policy?

    The safety and enjoyment of all guests at Ayada is paramount. Due to the open design and proximity of some our villa accommodation to the ocean, in particular our Ocean Villas, it is our duty to inform guests of the possible dangers in booking this type of accommodation if children under the age of 12 or any accompanying member/s cannot swim.

    Please be advised, Ayada has an obligation to obtain a liability release agreement signed by the children’s legal guardian and individually by each adult guest booking this type of accommodation.

  16. What currency and cards are accepted at Ayada?

    All charges at Ayada will be in US dollars. Guests intending to use cash to settle their bill upon checkout, please note that bank regulations in the Maldives allow us to only accept US dollars (USD), euros (EUR) and pounds sterling (GPB).

    Ayada accepts Visa, Master and American Express credit cards.

  17. What electrical items are compatible?

    Ayada has 220 Volts electric power. All of our rooms include ‘Type C’, two pin sockets and for your convenience, multi adapters are also available upon request.

  18. Is there a dress code?

    Ayada’s dress code is smart-casual. We wish for all our guest to be comfortable and kindly request no swimwear, jeans or revealing clothing be worn for dining in the restaurants. Shoes are optional in paradise, although we recommend packing at least one pair of sandals or flip-flops. Should you plan to use our gym or sports facilities, please pack suitable clothing and footwear for your workout.

    Please note, nude sunbathing is prohibited in the Maldives, even in Resort islands.

  19. What is the time difference?

    Due to the unique location of Maldives, most resorts have their own set timings to make the most of sunlight hours in paradise. Ayada follows its own set time. GMT +5 whereas Male, Maldives follows GMT +4. For your convenience, please check your timezone.

  20. What language is spoken at Ayada?

    English is widely spoken and understood so guests will have no problem in communicating in English. Ayada is proud to host a diverse, multi-lingual staff, speaking a range of languages; including Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Korean & Turkish.

NO SHOW / FAILURE TO CANCEL

Each rate booked at Ayada Maldives Resort, is subject to a Cancellation Policy. Failure to check in on the reserved arrival date will incur a penalty charge as detailed in the Cancellation Policy of the rate booked.

We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error. We reserve the right to cancel or amend bookings if they do not adhere to our terms & conditions.

If a guest chooses to shorten their stay or check out early a penalty charge will apply, as detailed in the Cancellation Policy associated with the rate booked.

PRICING ERRORS

Ayada Maldives and its affiliates reserve the right to cancel contracts based upon incorrect information being displayed in relation to price or service at any point in time.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Notwithstanding anything contained in these Terms and Conditions to the contrary, Ayada Maldives and its affiliates shall not be responsible for indirect damage, damage arising from consequential damage or special circumstances, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of profit, loss of use, loss of opportunity, arisen out of the performance or non‑performance of obligations under this Terms and Conditions.

MAKING A RESERVATION

Visitors to ayadamaldives.com or any integrated partner websites who elect to make reservations online are asked to complete a reservation profile the first time they make a reservation. When you create a reservation profile you will be asked to provide specific Protected Information, including your name, address and contact information, as well as certain guarantee and deposit information to secure your reservation, such as your credit card number. CREATING A GUEST PROFILE

During the reservation process you may opt to create a Guest Profile and in doing so provide us with personal information, including but not limited to; name, contact details, holiday preferences, and payment details. DURING YOUR STAY

During your stay, we record your itemized spending to accurately assemble your folio, which sets out your room rate and other expenses billed to your room. We also record this information to comply with financial reporting requirements, including those imposed by our auditors and government regulators. Information particular to your stay may also be stored (i.e. health issues, payment difficulties). We may also collect certain information as required by local laws (e.g. passport number). In addition, we may retain the content of any document (including comment cards, electronic documents such as e-mails and other similar forms of communication) that you send us before, during or following your stay. This information may be shared within Ayada Maldives but will not be shared with any third party. Finally, we are required under relevant law to log and retain all records of internet activity at our hotels for a period of 90 days.

GUEST'S CONSENT

By providing Protected Information in the registration card or through the online booking process or by other method as mentioned above, you are considered to have provided Ayada Maldives express consent to obtain, own, use and share your Protected Information within Ayada Maldives and its subsidiary in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Ayada Maldives takes steps to ensure that Protected Information is kept in a secure location, to which only authorized individuals have access. We also store certain guest information in our Guest Reservation System (the "System"). The System comprises a secure customer database stored on a dedicated server. We store Protected Information for such period of time required by law or for as long as we believe there to be a business justification for doing so.

PROTECTED INFORMATION PROVIDED TO THIRD PARTIES

Agents, contractors or third party service providers to Ayada Maldives may receive your Protected Information in the course of providing services to Ayada Maldives. Using contractual or other arrangements, we ensure these parties protect your Protected Information in a manner consistent with our Privacy Policy.

We may, from time to time, conduct joint marketing activities with selected partners where we deem the combined offers to be of relevance or interest to our guests. In these instances, Protected Information will only be accessible to mailing houses or parties contractually engaged by Ayada Maldives with appropriate privacy and confidentiality controls in place. GUEST ACCESS TO PROTECTED INFORMATION

We are happy to provide our guests, upon written signed request, with details of the Protected Information that we hold about them. We require that proof of identity be provided together with any such requests, typically in the form of a passport copy, together with contact information for the purposes of verification.
